Joint Position of the European Networks on Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027, June 2018

On 21 June, European civil society networks CONCORD, EPLO, HRDN, and VOICE sent a second joint letter to the European Heads of the State ahead of the European Council Meeting on 28-29 June.

The civil society organisations urge Heads of State or Government during the upcoming discussions on the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) to:

  1. Increase the budget for the EU’s external actions
  2. Maintain separate external financing instruments for development aid, humanitarian assistance, human rights and democracy, and peacebuilding
  3. Increase support for civil society
