25th EU NGO Forum on Human Rights

The Forum is organized by the European Commission and the European External Action Service, in partnership with the Human Rights and Democracy Network (HRDN). The theme for the Forum this year was “Youth as actors of change for human rights”. It was an opportunity to discuss the work of young human rights defenders, the threats and challenges they face around the world, and to identify ways to engage meaningfully in shaping their future and the future of human rights.

The two-day event brought together around 200 participants, including representatives from non-governmental organisations, young human rights defenders, international organisations, members of youth associations, EU Member States, and European institutions. It will conclude with action-oriented suggestions and recommendations, emphasising practical ways for the EU, Member States, civil society, and youth to adapt and improve policies and practices.
